At South Coast Stairlift, our upfront cost for renting a stairlift is £495 followed by £50 a month, this includes the survey, installation, 24-hour telephone support and all servicing and callouts. We also have no fixed-term contract so you are able to rent a stairlift for a week or 10 years, it’s entirely up to what works best for you.

Why rent a stairlift?
You may choose to rent a stairlift over buying a new or reconditioned one for multiple reasons. A common reason is if you have an elderly relative staying with you for a while and your house isn’t accessible for them, a rental stairlift is a perfect option here as you can quickly and easily get it installed on short notice without a hefty upfront cost and then it can be removed free of charge whenever you’re ready.
Another common example of when to rent a stairlift is after an injury or illness that has made getting up and down the stairs challenging. Renting a stairlift here would allow you to easily get up and down the stairs while you recover and then once you’re feeling yourself again and don’t need the stairlift anymore, you can simply have it removed for free.
